{# Object extensions
Extensions are a tool to integrate the functionality of multiple modules together
Module extensions
Extensions allow modules to add new elements to views from other modules, whether fields, or even bookmarks, functions, etc.
All extensions are defined using object-specific definition files. They are entirely the responsibility of the team that develops the module built on top of other modules.
For a technical description of how extensions are implemented, see technical documentation here.
List of extensions
The extensions list is an overview for developers, showing them which modules and objects define extensions for which module objects.
The overview is important when you are figuring out where part of the view comes from. In this overview, you can see what other objects extend the object you are examining.
